The research employs a quantitative research method using a cross-sectional study which is inexpensive and easy to conduct (Wang & Cheng, 2020). It is difficult to establish whether the outcome or exposure preceded the other. As a result, there is the possibility of reverse causality (Wang & Cheng, 2020). The topic helps healthcare professionals to understand the impediments to healthcare access for the population with and without mental health issues. The study was critical in offering an understanding of the barriers to healthcare access.
The study used comprehensive data gathered continuously from 2017 to 2018 by the National Health Interview Survey. The data is prone to biases including recall bias, responder bias and interviewer bias (Wang & Cheng, 2020). The topic helps in understanding barriers that prevent healthcare access to people with mental health conditions. The information helps healthcare professionals to under the specific barriers so that plans can be developed to address them.
The survey helps to collect data on various variables once. Despite helping determine prevalence, it is not possible to determine incidence. Understanding barriers can help formulate approaches to deal with them. The study helps to understand the difference in access to care for people with and without mental health issues.
Step 2: Summary of Analysis
The quality of sources in research is critical. Therefore, it is vital to invest in the search process to ensure the identification of quality peer-reviewed sources. There is a need for a systematic and well-organized procedure to identify good-quality references. Peer-reviewed articles are often preferred since their quality has been confirmed by peer reviewers. This summary examines approaches to identifying and evaluating peer-reviewed sources and highlights appropriate approaches for finding peer-reviewed research in future.
Researching past publications on a specific topic is vital to finding appropriate and credible sources. First, I conducted a Google search using specific terms of the study topic which provided varied results. This was vital for providing general information on the topic. Second, I searched various health-related databases such as PubMed (Chandran et al., 2020). This was a more refined search which helped identify quality sources on the topic. There was consideration for various factors such as publication dates and journal quality, which aided in selecting the article under analysis.
There are various strategies one would use in looking for peer-reviewed research. First, one should check the peer-reviewed journal list provided on the school library website indicated in the program’s subject guide. The library provides the most appropriate peer-reviewed articles selected for the course. Second, one should search in databases that are limited to peer-reviewed articles such as PubMed and Science Direct. In future, the resources I intend to use for peer-reviewed articles include appropriate databases such as PubMed and Cochrane Library (Chandran et al., 2020). These will be valuable for searching and selecting quality peer-reviewed articles. In conclusion, it is vital to search for peer-reviewed articles from specialized databases such as PubMed, Science Direct and Cochrane Library since quality is ensured.

ACADEMIC SUCCESS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN PART 3: RESEARCH ANALYSIS
Architect Daniel Libeskind is credited with saying “To provide meaningful architecture is not to parody history, but to articulate it.” The suggestion is that his work does not copy the efforts of others but relies on it.
