The first step is to conduct a survey on the prevalence of falls, knowledge level among nurses concerning falls, administrative actions and implemented interventions with the aim of developing new approaches. The survey will also focus on patients to understand their perspective about falls and the current interventions in the organization to reduce them (MacKay et al., 2021). The second step would be to analyze the results and determine the gaps at different levels based on the identified themes like facilitators of a quality and safety environment and the inherent organizational challenges leading to falls and ineffective management.
The third step would be to engage all stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration to identify priority areas and what can work in the facility. Again, collaborative models would also be integrated to ensure that all accept the planned change to reduce and prevent falls (Vaishya et al., 2020).
