Pressing Social Problem Essay
One of the most pressing ender problems in the United States is gender equality. Considering the past five presidents who have been on service in the country, there is a positive trend regarding the evolution of gender equality (Dilli et al., 2018). Different presidents have come up with ways of ensuring that the gender gap has reduced, making it easy for men and women to have equal opportunities. The various presidents have come up with policies that ensure gender equality is maintained all over the country. However, the most significant development that has made it easier to reduce the gender gap is increasing the employment rate (Quffa, n.d.). Following this, more women have entered the workforce in recent years, making it easy to have equal resources to pursue their own goals.
The presidents have worked hard to ensure that the economic situation in the country is improved. The government has come up with more jobs for the youths and women so that they can access the basics easily (Quffa, n.d.) Also, the creation of various industries and embracing technology has enhanced developments. The improved technology has made it easier for women to access resources equally. As a result, the gender gap has reduced to a great extent. Also, the various governments have enacted different amendments in the constitution. For example, the 14th amendment has an article that states that all persons are equal, making it easy for women to access equal opportunities (England et al., 2020)
One of the things that have shaped my views is assessing the changes that have continued to occur in the country over the years. It was hard for women to get job offers and participate in national activities like politics. The changes have made it easy for women to access power, making it easy to create more opportunities for their fellow women.
