Evaluation is important as it helps whether the expected outcomes were achieved in light of the objectives. Modifications can be made and mistakes corrected after evaluation to achieve better results. The evaluation plan for the intervention would involve four phases; planning, implementation, completion, and dissemination of the information and reporting.
In the planning phase, I would determine the stakeholders involved in evaluating the intervention, specify the short- and long-term goals, determine the resources needed, and develop evaluation questions. I would collect data to assess whether objectives were achieved using the appropriate activities and processes in the implementation phase. The techniques to apply are process and outcome evaluation (Boothroyd, 2018). Process evaluation determines whether the project activities are implemented appropriately. For example, I would evaluate the use of Broset score checklists to reduce violence. It answers whether the project’s outcomes were achieved, the resources used, problems encountered, and how they were solved. I would also use outcome evaluation to assess the changes brought by the project (Boothroyd, 2018). The survey method would be appropriate to determine the difference between the beginning and the end of project implementation in the data collection.

In the completion phase of the program, the evaluation would be used to determine the immediate project outcomes. The project’s efficacy in achieving the set outcomes and goals is determined using summative evaluation technique, impact, and outcome evaluation. For example, increased nurses’ competencies in using the Broset score and reduced incidences of violence in the facility are some of the outcomes assessed. The outcomes are attributed to the program to determine if the outcomes are positive or negative. In dissemination and reporting, evaluation is done to assess feedback and presentation of results to the necessary stakeholders.
