You have probably noticed there are many disorder that have similar and/or overlapping symptoms. Making a differential diagnosis requires that you rule out competing diagnoses that are very similar. Often times, Anorexia and Bulimia can be confused, particularly when you consider there are subtypes of Anorexia. How would you differentiate between Bulimia and the different subtypes of Anorexia? If you were interviewing the patient, what questions would you want to be sure to ask?
