The Patient-Healthcare Professional Relationship and Communication in the Oncology Outpatient
Research Question: Does Physical Connection Between Patient And Physician Provider Impact Patients Recovery
Berger, Ron, et al. “The patient–Physician Relationship: an Account of the Physician’s Perspective.” Israel Journal of Health Policy Research, vol. 9, no. 1, 2020, pp. 1-16.
This article analyses the trust of patients in their healthcare providers. According to Berger et al., physicians evaluate the relationship with the patients based on their ability to solve medical problems that will affect patient recovery (1). In contrast, patients stress the importance of their feelings and emotions ((Berger et al. 12). Following this, patients tend to be more accessible when the healthcare provider has a better relationship. The authors also argue that if the healthcare providers have a strong relationship with the patient, then the relationship will lead to satisfaction with the alt services given to the patient (Berger et al. 12).
Molina-Mula, Jesús, and Julia Gallo-Estrada. “Impact of Nurse-Patient Relationship on Quality of Care and Patient Autonomy in Decision-Making.” International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, vol. 17, no. 3, 2020, pp 1-24.
Patients have a passive role during treatment, while nurses have an expert role. The authors explain that the physical relationship between patients and nurses determines how well patients make decisions about their health. According to Molina-Mula and Gallo-Estrada, a good patient physical relationship reduces the number of days the patient will stay in the hospital (20). Besides, a good relationship between the patient and the physician improves satisfaction and quality for both the patient and the healthcare provider.
Prip, Anne, et al. “The Patient–Healthcare Professional Relationship and Communication in the Oncology Outpatient Setting.” Cancer Nursing, vol. 41, no. 5, 2018, pp. 11-22.
This article explores how the patient-healthcare profession affects cancer patients, especially during chemotherapy. According to Prip et al., an excellent patient-physician relationship in the outpatient setting helps cancer patients to cope with cancer more easily (11). Cancer patients express the need to be sown positivity and hope during their cancer treatments. If the physicians establish a good relationship with the patients, it will be easy for them to cope with ear treatments and take medications as instructed.

RESEARCH ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY TOPIC PROPOSAL
Below, write down three possible research topics (should be a question that you have from your discipline) as research questions. For example, if I wanted to know more about sustainable agriculture, I might ask, why do we need sustainable farming practices? What are the consequences of continuing to use the same farming methods we use now? Or, what methods do sustainable farmers use when raising animals and produce for consumption? What crops and/or animals are more sustainable? (Note: this is but one research topic (sustainable farming), and a few different questions on the issue)

2.
3.
Research the three questions you have listed above to determine which question leads to the most information, and which question most interests you. Choose your question (only one) and then find at least one scholarly source for that question. Include the citation in MLA (or the style your discipline uses) format below, as well as a 4-5 sentence summary of the source.
